Felecia Brown

Felecia Moulden Brown, 68, passed away July 18, 2024 at her home in Waco. She was born in Duncan, Oklahoma to Richard and Peggy Moulden. 

Felecia graduated from Richfield High School in 1974 where she was one of the first students enrolled in the Health Occupations program. She went on to complete her Associate Degree in Nursing at McLennan Community College in 1976 and later received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington.

Felecia worked as a registered nurse for over 40 years. She recently retired after 30 years as a certified pediatric registered nurse at Baylor Scott and White McLane Children’s Clinic - Waco Hillcrest. She loved the patients, families and staff with whom she worked, and they loved her as well. Early in her professional career, she worked at Hillcrest Baptist Hospital as well as the City of Waco Health Department. 

Felecia lived in Longview, Texas for several years during the mid-1980’s where she made lifelong friends and wonderful memories. It was there, in 1985, that her proudest moment was realized. She became a mother to Becky who she treasured every day of her life. Having a daughter fulfilled Felecia’s biggest dream.

Felecia married Daniel Brown in 1975 at The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Waco. They had been married for 49 years.

Felecia is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Renee Brown of Waco; sisters Tammi Sammons of Eddy and Lisa Pigg (Gary) of Waco; nephews and niece Brian, Kevin and Rachel; sister-in-law Pamela Barton (Joe); nieces and nephew Courtney, Stacy and Christian; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Moulden and Peggy Moulden and sister, Teresa Moulden.
