Ernest McNiel

Ernest (Tom) Paul McNiel, 79, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away, Sunday, August 16, 2015. A Funeral service will be held at Grace Gardens Funeral Home in Waco, Texas on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Terry Johnston officiating and a visitation an hour prior to the service.
Ernest was born in Moody, Texas on December 24, 1935 to James Floyd and Mary Elizabeth McNiel. Ernest graduated from Moody High School in 1954. He was a member of the Men's Bowling Association from 1974-1986. He worked for Trinity Industries for 45 years and retired in 2003. In 2003, after retiring, he moved to Pensacola, Florida.
Ernest was preceded in death by both of his parents, his sister, Dora Mae McNiel, two brothers; Jack McNiel and Marion McNiel, one grandchild, Kyle Workman.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy McNiel, two daughters, Sherrie Eddins and Melissa Merritt, two sons, Timothy Gillespey and Joseph Gillespey, a brother, William McNiel, a sister, Dorothy Ballard, twenty four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
