Biography

Eric Wardell of Golinda, joined Jesus in heaven on Saturday, August 4, 2012, at the age of 28. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at First Methodist Church of Waco.
He was born on March 26, 1984, in Waco, TX, to Phil Wardell and Felesha Patzke. Eric graduated from Robinson High School in 2002. He married Laci Tucker on July 30, 2005.

Eric’s life is a story of love. He loved everyone, everyone one loved Eric, and not one person has a bad thing to say about him. This was especially true of his wife and children: Laci was his Babe, Braiden his Buddy and Kaylie his Sugar. Whenever someone needed help with their car, their house, or moving, they called Eric first and he always said yes. In his life, everyone was more important than Eric. Family and friends were Eric’s most valuable possessions. His final post on Facebook was a picture of him and his daughter Kaylie with the caption: “It doesn’t get much better than this.” That is Eric’s life summed up in one sentence.

He was currently working for Late Model Restoration in Hewitt. Eric was active in Robinson Little League, where he helped coach his son’s team.
He is survived by his wife Laci; his son Braiden, age 8; daughter Kaylie, age 2; father Phil Eric Wardell; mother Felesha Patzke; sister Crystal Wardell-Kent; nephews Zaine and Aiden Kent, niece Macee Kent, brothers Chase Schrader and Dustin Wardell; sister Krista Wardell, grandmother Patricia Wardell; his mother and father-in-law Carol and Jay Ehret; sister and brother-in-law Chelsey and Brian Sosolik; nephew Logan Sosolik. Other survivors include Kenneth Schrader and Julie Myers. He is preceded in death by grandfather Earl Wardell, and grandparents Curtis and Zada Kelley.
