Emma Rozell

Emma Rozell, a lifelong McGregor resident, passed away Monday July 4, 2016, at the age of 90. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home 8220 Woodway Dr, Waco. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday July 8, 2016, at College Avenue Baptist Church, 201 S. Monroe St. McGregor with Rev. Chip Anthony officiating. Interment will follow in McGregor Cemetery under the direction of Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rozell was born December 12, 1925, in McGregor, Texas the daughter of the late James Howard and Francis Estella (Kent) Cox where she attended McGregor High School. On February 1, 1977, she married Nuge Calvin “Buddy” Rozell in McGregor. After a short marriage, he preceded her in death October 15, 1987.

Throughout her life she was an active lifetime member of College Avenue Baptist Church where she participated in the Sunday School program. She also participated in Vacation Bible School and Mission Trips to name a few of the many activities of which she took great pride of being a part of. Emma enjoyed working to make her yard a beautiful place in town and listening to music. She also enjoyed word search puzzles, playing cards games, dominos and marble games.

Also preceding her in death was a son, Rudy Franklin Lilly; brothers, Conally Cox, Jack Cox, Cecil Cox, Marvin Cox, Joe Cox, Irvin Cox and two sisters, Margaret Miskell and Tommie Wingrove.

Survivors include Grandchildren, Michelle Williams and husband David, Jennifer Smith and husband Kevin, Amanda Musgrove and husband Billy, Chris Spiller and wife Kristin, Jeff Spiller; great grandchildren, Jessica Burkman and husband James, Jordyn Beadle, Hailey Cook, Nevaeh Cook, Raygen Smith, Hannah Smith, Jordain Williams, Regan Williams, Cameron Spiller, Jordan Spiller; great great grandchild, Levi Burkman and many nieces and nephews to include Craig Cox.
