Emma Moore

Emma Moore age 73, formally of Wortham, Texas passed away Sunday June 12, 2011 at a local nursing facility. Graveside services will be held 3PM Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Wortham Cemetery with Pastor Steve Cowart officiating. Visitation will be held 6 to 8PM Tuesday June 14, 2011 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.

Emma was born August 13, 1937 in Wortham, Texas to Eugene and Mable Richardson. She graduated Wortham High School in 1956 and married Dan Moore October 12, 1956. After working for the first few years in the family business, Wortham Air Conditioning, Inc., Emma proudly “retired” home to raise her family. Emma volunteered and taught Sunday School for over 25 years as a member of First Baptist Church, Wortham, Texas. She is fondly remembered by eight grandchildren as “Granny Em” and was widely known for her gift of hospitality and love of the Lord, family, and friends.

She is survived by her husband Dan of 54 years; two sons Mark Moore and his wife of Kathy of Waco, TX and Todd Moore and his wife Kelly; eight grandchildren Dan’a, Leland, Garrett, Austin, Gracie, Rachel, Devion and Traynham Moore.
