Ed Wells, 60, of Waco, passed away on November 21, 2020 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. A visitation will be 6-8 PM, Monday November 23, 2020, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be 11 am, Tuesday November 24 at Oakwood Cemetery.
He was born the baby of the family on August 17, 1960 in Waco, TX to Ruby and Charles “Bud” Wells with brother Charles Floyd Wells and sister Ann Harder. Growing up in Waco, he enjoyed fishing with his dad, playing varsity tennis, and photography. He graduated from Richfield High School in 1978, where he met his wife Sharon Bartosch. He attended Baylor University and married his sweetheart on January 8, 1982 in Waco, TX. They have been happily married for 38 years.
Ed was employed with Texas Farm Bureau and then Liberty Mutual as a Senior Training Specialist. He had two children, Leah Pasteka 36 married to Derek Pasteka, and Seth Wells 35, who both live in the Waco area, as well as many bonus children throughout his life. He has two grandchildren, Colby 13 and Blake 2 who think the world of their PawPaw and knew the feeling was mutual. He also has many nieces and nephews that live around the United States.
He enjoyed traveling with his family to the mountains and beach and everywhere in between, and loved throwing the baseball with his kids and grandchildren. He loved buying and working on cars, especially the Bandit Trans Am he worked on with his son Seth. He was also an avid Baylor football fan, which he instilled in his daughter and grandchildren.
Ed was preceded in death by his father Charles Floyd Wells. Flowers appreciated, but memorial contributions can be made to Texas Home Health Hospice who took such amazing care of our dad in his final days.
