Eddie Hobbs

May 4, 1920 — March 9, 2012


On March 9, 2012 Edward Hobbs danced into the arms of Jesus. Eddie was a graduate of Waco High and earned a BA degree from Baylor University in 1950. Eddie served in the Navy during WWII and then worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 40 years. He enjoyed singing, playing the harmonica, and spending time with his family.

Eddie was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Hobbs, brother Philbert Hobbs, and sisters Jewel Browning and Winnie Woodcock. Eddie will be lovingly remembered by his four daughters and their families. Debbie Tafelski of Wylie, Patty Passmore of Waco, Cletha and Danny Slovak of Hillsboro, and Debbie and Brian Fair of Woodway. He is also survived by 8 grand-children and 7 great grandchildren.

Please join us in celebrating the life of Edward Hobbs at Grace Gardens at 10am on Monday, March 12, 2012. Visitation will be from 2-4pm on March 11, 2012. A special thanks to Dr. James Graham and Meadowbrook Homebound Ministries.
