 Earl Ray Davis II passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Services to honor Earl Ray will take place at Grace Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, beginning at 1pm with Frank Litton preaching the service. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco, TX.

 Earl Ray Davis II was born in Waco, Texas on July 25, 1957, to Mary Ann (Bohne) and Robert Earl Davis. He was the first-born child of Mary Ann and Bob then little sister Pam, came along 5 years later. Earl Ray grew up in the McLennan County area and resided here all his life. His younger years brought joy in spending time with his beloved grandparents, Earl Ray and Grace Davis in Waco and Fred and Bertha Bohne in Riesel, TX. From a young age Earl went to work with his father to learn the family business, Davis Brothers Publishing, and worked and managed there until retirement in 2016. Earl attended Midway schools and graduated in 1975 and was an Eagle Scout obtaining his Distinguished Eagle Scout Award. 

 Upon high school graduation Earl attended Baylor University where he met his lifelong brothers in the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Many of which he still visited and kept in contact with today. He enjoyed traveling which included many trips to Egypt with his father. He was an avid racquetball player, enjoyed cooking, collecting antiquities, poetry and spending time with family and loved ones. Wherever Earl went, a good time was sure to follow. 

 In 1996 he married Audrey Jo in Waco, TX on their shared birthday. They spent 28 years together, although they did not have any children of their own, they loved and enjoyed spoiling and spending time with their 16 nieces and nephews as well as greats and great - greats.

 Earl lived a fulfilled life full of good times, good friends and good memories. 

 Earl is Survived by wife, Audrey Jo and Sister, Pam Chick. 

 Preceding Earl in death are his parents Mary Ann and Robert Earl Davis. 

 Pallbearers include Andre Boston, Tyson Boston, Austin Chick, Chandler Chick and Hayden Chick and J. Harvey.
