Dr. Greg Blaisdell

Dr. Greg Blaisdell of McGregor, a Waco psychiatrist, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022, a the age of 61.  Graveside services and interment will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Oakwood Cemetery with his brother Rev. Chuck Blaisdell officiating.  For those unable to attend, the service will be live streamed through this page.

Dr. Blaisdell was born January 29, 1961, in Fort Worth, Texas, the son of the late Richard and Hazel (Carr) Blaisdell.  In 1979, he graduated from Southwest High School in Fort Worth, Texas.  He earned his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology from Trinity University in San Antonio in 1983.  His Master of Science Degree in Biology was earned from TCU in Fort Worth in 1985.  He furthered his education at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio where he earned a Medical Degree in 1989.  His post graduate training was at the University of Arkansas where he specialized in Psychiatry in 1993.  He practiced Psychiatry in Arkansas, Temple and Waco, Texas for a combination of twenty-nine years. For the last twenty-two years, he has been employed by Providence Ascension DePaul.  Since 2002, he has held the position of Medical Director.

Throughout his life, he enjoyed traveling, playing the guitar and reading.

Survivors include his wife; Melissa Liddicoat Blaisdell; a son Henry Blaisdell; two brothers, Chuck Blaisdell and wife Barbara and Jim Blaisdell and wife Linda
