On May 22, 2024, Douglas Louis Cumbie Jr went home to Glory at the age of 62. He was born in Ft Worth, Texas on February 2, 1962. He had battled illness for a long time, but is now whole again and no longer in pain. He was a talented artist and painter. He also loved building and remodeling houses.
He was a wild one who loved to be a rebel-rouser and troublemaker and ride motorcycles. At the same time, he would give you his last dollar or the shirt off his back. He was a jerk and a pain in the rear however he loved his family and friends fiercely and had a big heart.
He was proceeded in death by his father Douglas Sr., his mother Evelyn, his step-father Junior, his Uncle Carroll, cousins Mark, Danny and Lisa, as well as both sets of grandparents.
He was survived by his wife Angela; his children James and fiancé Jolene, Amanda and Tatum; sister Cheryl and her husband Dale; sister JoAnn and her husband Glen; niece Chante and her husband Tim and their children Piper and Emelia; niece Crystal and her son Lucas; niece Kristina and her children Kamryn, Jazlyn and Mason; nephew Michael and fiancé Raebecca and his children Cailyn and Michael Jr; granddaughter Whitney and her daughters Athena and Artemis.
There will be a graveside service at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco, Texas at 2:00 pm on May 28, 2024 for those who loved him to say goodbye.
