Dorothy M. Williams

Dorothy M. Williams, 93, passed away in her sleep the evening of January 22, 2014. A memorial service will be held Saturday, the 15th of February at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel at St. Catherine Center, 300 W. Hwy 6, in Waco.
Dorothy, Dottie to many, was born in Mart to Ernest A. Williams and Naomi Ruth (Mullens) Williams. She lived and worked most of her life in Waco, spending over 30 years working at Owens Illinois Glass Plant where she developed and maintained many lifelong friends. She was a resident of St. Catherine Center for the last three and one-half years.
Dorothy is survived by nephews, Ernest H. Hawthorne and wife, Judy of Plano, John W. Hawthorne and wife, Mary of Austin, James R. Williams and wife, Cynthia of Green Valley, AZ., Bud Esserman of Waco, Charles L. Esserman and wife, Kat of Chicago, IL.; nieces, Jacqueline Ruth Godwin and husband, Alfred of Plano, Linda R. Fluker and husband, James of Houston, and Kathy W. McKinney and husband, David of Batesville, AR. Three additional generations including 43 nieces and nephews adored their DoDo.
One of Dorothy’s last wishes was to express her gratitude to her care-givers and companions over the years and in particular to the staff at St. Catherine Center. Dorothy’s loving family and friends were numerous and all will miss her.
