Dorothy Bozarth

Dorothy Howard Bozarth, age 78 of China Spring, left this earth to be with her Heavenly Father, Wednesday October 27, 2010, at her residence. Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ken Young officiating. Burial will follow at Gerald Cemetery near Leroy, Texas. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm, Friday October 29, 2010 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.

Dorothy was born February 7, 1932 in Rusk County, Texas to the late Grady and Wilma Ash. Dorothy dedicated her life in service of love to her family, friends and neighbors. She was a devout Christian, a member of Stonegate Community Church and enjoyed visits to Greater New Light Missionary Baptist Church on occasion.

Dorothy Howard Bozarth was preceded in death by her husband, Osborn Howard, Jr. and later in life, by her husband, Joe Bozarth, and brother, Kenneth Ash.

Those left to cherish her loving memory are her daughters, Karen X Minzer of Dallas and Ginger Townley of Waco; sons, Bill Bozarth, of Ohio , Joe Bozarth III and his wife, Freddie of Waco; eight grandchildren, Brian Townley of Waco, Aaron Townley of Dallas, Paris Minzer of Los Angeles, Anna Minzer of New York City, and J.T. Bozarth of Florida, Jeffrey Bozarth of Waco, Megan Grives of Cleveland, Kelley Bozarth of Chicago and Erin Bozarth of Cleveland; three great grandchildren, Kirsten, Madison and Mason Townley of Dallas. Dorothy Bozarth is also survived by her brothers Grady Ash, Jr. of Tulsa and Dr. Weldon Ash and his wife, Jan, of Lubbock and one aunt, Kathleen Kuntz, of Waco, as well as lifelong friend, Bill Johnson, of China Spring, in addition to her many greatly loved nieces, nephews and other family and friends that created the joy that Dorothy shared with all of us through her beautiful smile and loving heart.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Richard Ash, Jim Ash, Steve Ash and Chris Spears; grandsons, Brian Townley, Aaron Townley, Paris Minzer.

For those that are unable to attend personally, Dorothy’s funeral services will be shown on the Grace Gardens website as a live broadcast, www.gracegardensfh.com.

In lieu of flowers any memorials are requested to be made to the Alzheimer Association (www.alz.org) . The family invites you to leave a message or memory in our “Memorial ” at www.gracegardensfh.com..
