Doris Montgomery

Doris was born on March 15, 1922 in Garnavillo Iowa to Charles and Amelia Reither. She was preceded in death by her husband C.O. Montgomery Sr. and her brothers, Edward and Lawrence Reither.

Doris graduated from Loyola University with degree in Nursing in 1943. She joined the Army Nurse Corp in 1944 and was promoted to First Lieutenant, serving in England during World War II. She was honored and humbled to serve her country and continued serving others throughout her life as a mother, friend and nurse until her retirement at the age of 75.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Charla Hughes and her husband David, and their children, Megan, Chris, Whitney and Trenton and their children, Ella, Caroline, Hannah; her son Mike Montgomery and his children, Lauren, Justin, Lindsey, Willie and their children Hunter and Dylon; her daughter Kathie Robnett and her husband Edward and her children, Jarrett and Tyler. A Neice, Patty Bernath and children Kristen, BJ and Merritt, a Nephew Randy Reither and his wife Reggie and their children Charles, Daniel, Robert and Scott, nephews Charles and George Reither and a lifetime childhood friend Ruth Satterlee and numerous friends and relatives.
