Donnie "Don" Tindell

February 1, 1943 — June 27, 2011

A stronger will was never seen than that of Don Tindell born at Stampede Valley near Moody, Texas.

Donnie was an extraordinary life-long, adventurous spirit, who spent his life exploring the country from the big cities to the back roads and wilderness of America.

The many friends and loved ones who were touched by his spirit will remember forever the memories they all shared; the stories and adventures that were his life. Fearful of nothing, he lived his life his way, faithful in his beliefs, come hell or high water.

Don was an inventor, salesman, contractor, wildlife manager, and a cowboy. His talents and experiences in life were what defined him. His fun-loving, hardworking determination and conviction spurred him on throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife Betty McDonald Tindell; a brother, Tommy and wife Wilma; his sons, Mat Tindell and wife Stayce, and Kelly Blankenship and wife, Stacy; a daughter, Mona Turner and husband Wayne; grandchildren Aaron Tindell, Michael Tindell, Joey Turner, Madison and Mason Blankenship; great-grandchildren, Gavin and Breanna Tindell; and life-long friends Bobby and Sylvia Blagg, Jr. and Gaynell Clayton.

He is preceded in death by his parents Truman Buck and Buela Harris Tindell, and also his brother Carl Wayne Tindell.
