Donald C. Humphrey

Donald Humphrey, age 73, passed away on January 8, 2023, in Hewitt, Texas.

Donald was born December 15, 1949, in Houston, Texas. He grew up in McGregor, Texas, and graduated from McGregor High School in 1968. While in high school he was involved in all sports. Following graduation, Humphrey joined the U.S. Army and trained as a paratrooper. After his enlistment, he was employed with Southwestern Bell. He remained active in the National Guard for many years. After his retirement from Southwestern Bell, he worked at Academy Sports and Outdoor in Waco for several years.

Donald married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Turbeville Denn on May 20, 1989, and they enjoyed 34 years together.

He was preceded in death by his mother Lometa Humphrey.

He is survived by, his wife, Sharon Turbeville Humphrey; son, Kirk Humphrey and wife Debra, of Covington, Texas; son, Cliff Humphrey of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Melanie Stuck and husband Jason, of Hewitt, Texas; son, Matthew Denn and wife Audra, of McGregor, Texas; grandchildren, Kirk and Kane Humphrey, Cody Humphrey, Aaron and Jolie Rebando and Madelyn and Michael Denn.
