Donald Dees Sr

David Donald Dees Sr, of Lorena, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012. Services will be 11:00 am at Grace Gardens Monday, April 2, with Rev Mike Patterson of First Baptist of Lorena officiating. Burial will follow at Lorena Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 pm at Grace Gardens Sunday, April 1.

Donald was born November 10, 1937 in Purdon, TX to Dexter & Helen Barnhart Dees.

Donald was preceded in death by his first wife Marqueita Huffman Dees who died in 1960. He attended University High School and TSTC. He worked for 37 years at Owens Illinois Glass and retired in 1993. He then began raising cattle until his health declined.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years Judy Patton Dees, and children, Liz & Jimmy McKnight, David Jr. & DeaAnn Dees,
Kim & Ray Sanders, Gary & Stacy Dees, and Danny Dees, 8 grandsons, David lll & Dakota Dees, Ray, Colt, & Dude Sanders, Taylor & Riley Dees and Matthew Dees. 3 grandaughters, Amy Elrod, Lea Schnizer and Amber Dees and 5 great grandchildren. Also brother Alvis & Mary Dees, sister in law Alice Suter.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons
