Donald was born on Sept. 4, 1934 in Axtell, Texas to Otis and Helen Bost. Donald was no stranger to hard work. He worked hard all of his life. He worked in agricultural business for over 65 years. He took pride in his work and was widely well respected in the cotton gin, grain and fertilizer business. Despite all the years of hard work in the fields, he was recently characterized as " the jolliest cotton picker I ever knew." Donald was also a Master Mason for 50 plus years and never turned down a game of Dominoes or Farkle with his friends. After several years of persistent encouragement from his wife, Donald's days of working to build a life took a back seat to living his life and enjoying the fruits of his labor with his family and friends. Nothing made him more proud than to spend time with the ones he loved so much. He also loved to share the love of the Lord in all that he did.

A Poem titled, Messages from Heaven written by Nancy Bost.
I've Never known such happiness, not until today. On that earth of trial and error, I'm glad I did not stay. I was blessed with health, a loving family and a work to call my own. Our time together was the sweetest time a human could have known.
My fondest home must be that you will surely see, That now I am so happy, for I am finally free. Free from all my worries and yes, my aches and pains, for that's the way some days have been, as I traveled life's rough lane. Oh what a glad reunion, with those who went before, They were there with open arms, As I came through heaven's door, and on that day when you come home, you know right where I'll be, waiting there with open arms, for your sweet face to see.
