Donald Bankston

Donald Oran Bankston age 78, of Belton passed away Friday January 18, 2013 at a local hospital. Funeral Services will be 10AM Monday January 21, 2013 at First United Methodist Church in Belton with Pastor Johnny Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Bole Springs Cemetery in West, Texas. Visitation will be from from 5 to 7PM Sunday January 20, 2013 in the Fellowship Hall at The First United Methodist Church in Belton.

Donald was born on March 9, 1934 on a farm near Birome, Texas to Oran and Opal Bankston.

Donald is survived by wife, Katheryn, sons Don Wallis Bankston of Denver, CO, Kirk Boren of Temple, Daughter Ronda Hansen of Temple, brothers Rodney of Bruceville, and Wesley of Citrus Heights, CA, grandchildren Natalie Bankston, Connor Bryan, Krystal Boren, and Kayla Hansen, plus other family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up to provide assistance to help children be able to afford attendance to the Glen Lake Camp. Donations may be made to the Glen Lake Camp Scholarship Fund in care of The First United Methodist Church, 205 East Third, Belton, TX 76513.
