Deborra Jan Hudson, 63 of Waco, passed away Saturday, February 07, 2015. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home with Rev. James Stevens officiating. A visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service.
Deborra was born in San Antonio to Alta and Jack Hood. She attended Industrial High School and graduated in 1969. She moved to Waco in 1969 with family and attended MCC where she studied music. She married Larry Hudson in February 1973 at North Waco Baptist Church where she was a member and sang in the Choir. They had one son, Andrew Hudson in 1975. She became a hair stylist in 1980. She owned and operated Designing Women on Lake Air Drive until she retired in 2014. She was a member of The Confederate Air Force for many years. She enjoyed fishing in Kingsland, Texas, feeding the cows on the weekends in Georgetown, Texas and the "Thursday Lunch Bunch" .
Deborra loved God and loved to sing his praises. She was a member of Gholson First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by, her husband, Larry Hudson, her mother, Alta Zimmerman and her niece, Lili Ann Cross
She was survived by her son Andrew and wife Esmeralda Hudson, of Waco, sister, Emily and husband, Michael McCrory of Purdon, TX, brother, Wesley "Dink" and wife Kandi Zimmerman of Oklahoma. Grandchildren; Anthony Hudson, Isabella Hudson, Autumn Hudson and nephews; Aaron Zimmerman and Alan Drew Cross
