Deborah Ann Oden-Bullock, 63, of Moody passed away Friday, January 26, 2018. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Drive. Visitation with the family will be 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 30 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Debbie was born April 6, 1954 in San Francisco, CA to James Roy and Will Earl (Holloman) Scott. Debbie had a love for nursing with over 18 years of experience. She showed love and compassion to all her patients throughout her career. She loved to travel with her husband as they went on trips several times per year. Her last vacation was a memorable one as they went with some of her siblings to Branson, MO over the Thanksgiving holiday. She enjoyed visiting Graceland as she was a diehard Elvis fan. She enjoyed visiting beaches and was in love with the beaches in Florida. Debbie was also an avid reader and loved to plant flowers and garden. She thoroughly enjoying spending time with her family and friends. Debbie loved to get her nails done with her daughters and go shopping with them. Debbie also had a special place in her heart for her daughters’ friends and her home was always open to them as well. Debbie’s grandchildren were the light of her life and she doted on each one. She and her husband enjoyed attending their extra-curricular activities together and loved showing off their pictures to everyone.

Debbie was preceded in death her father, James Roy Scott, her nephew, Dustin Earl Wertz, her cousin, Jerry Harrison Fires and her father in law, Homer Hadley Bullock.

Debbie is survived by her husband, David Cooper Bullock of Moody, Texas. Her mother, Will Earl Scott of Roff, Oklahoma. Her daughters, Tracy Denise Ralston and husband Russell of Little River Academy, Melissa Dieterich and husband Christopher of Osage, Texas, Jessica Claridy and husband William of Whitney, Texas and Sara Dennehy and husband Sean of Moody, Texas. Her grandchildren, Kaele Sherrill, Derek Sherrill, Kenna Claridy, Dustin Jenkins, Jake Dieterich, Lincoln Dennehy and Maverick Claridy. Her great grandchildren, Carter Sherrill and Zayden Sherrill. Her siblings, Gail Wertz, Steve Scott and wife Brenda, Jackie Hays, and James Scott and wife Brenda. Her mother in law, Amy Lester Bullock of River Falls, Alabama. Her step children included Kara Stringer and husband Tra of Killeen, Texas, Amy Bullock of Moody, Texas and Lou Ann Hudson of Killeen, Texas. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and her best friend, JoAnn Allen of West, Texas.

Pallbearers are Jimmy Stewart, Jimmy Bailey, Russell Ralston, Christopher Dieterich, William Claridy and Sean Dennehy. Honorary pallbearers are her grandsons, Derek Sherrill and Dustin Jenkins.

Memorial donations for Debbie can be given in her honor to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Her family wishes to extend their sincerest appreciation to the nurses, doctors and staff of Hillcrest Hospital, B S&W McClinton Cancer Center, and Scott and White of Temple for the heartfelt, loving care she received over the years.
