David Butler Haynes

David Butler Haynes, 65, of Woodway, Texas passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023.  David was born on November 11, 1957 in Whidbey Island, Washington to David O’Farrell Haynes and Ramona Smith Clark Haynes.

David enjoyed traveling, playing Bingo, and loved to keep everyone around him laughing.  As many passions as he had in life, none were as important to him as his family.  As an only son with five sisters, he dedicated much of his life to taking care of those sisters.  He will be greatly missed.

David was preceded in death by his parents and his youngest sister, Dena Haynes.

Left to cherish his memories are his sister Dana Ritcheson and husband Don of Benton, AR, sisters Glynna Swanner of Woodway, TX, Shannon Haynes of Houston, TX and Robin Spivey of Lufkin, TX; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, two special great great nieces, and countless friends.

The family extends a sincere thank you to the wonderful nursing staff at Ascension Providence, 3rd Floor South.

At David’s request, he will be cremated and there will be no service. David loved animals, so if you would like to make a donation to the Central Texas Humane Society on his behalf, that would be greatly appreciated.
