David Chiles

David S. Chiles, Sr., 84, passed away peacefully at his home in Waco on July 8, 2013. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 10:00 am at Grace Gardens Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive visitors after the service at a luncheon held at Stonegate Community Church where he was a member. Interment to be held at a later date at Roller Swift Funeral Home in Osceola, AR.

Mr. Chiles was born on January 21, 1929 into Ernest and Cora Chiles' large family in Osceola, AR. He worked most of his life in Mississippi County, Arkansas. As a parts manager for International Harvester and John Deere, he did his best to keep the local cotton and soybean farmers up and running in the fields. David is best remembered by his many friends and family for his kind heart, sense of humor, and genuine caring for others.

David is preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Betty Sue Chiles; seven brothers; and three sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Nancy Chiles of Waco; daughter, Lisa and husband Steve Baker of Longview; son, David Chiles, Jr. and wife Gretchen of Waco; stepchildren, Darren and Becky Frame of Scottsdale, AZ, and Dick and Suzanne Frame of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Taylor, David, Andrew, Jared, Annabeth, Allyson, Annie, Bailey, and Adam; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to Providence Hospice or Stonegate Community Church.
