David Cady

David George Cady, 83, of Waco passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 12 noon, March 27, 2015 at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with the Rev. Stephen Rynearson officiating.

David Gorge Cady was born April 5, 1931, in Mobridge, SD to the late George and Emilia Cady. He was a 1949 graduate of Mobridge High School in South Dakota. In 1950, David served his country in the US Army, while being deployed in Alaska. David was a 1955 graduate of Northern State Teachers College in Aberdeen, SD.

David served as Jaycees State President of the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce. He worked a number years for the state of South Dakota—IDEA-Industrial Development Expansion County.
David was also elected Chairman of the Brown County Young Republicans. Later, David worked a number of years for the City of Waco, retiring in 2008.

David will be remembered as a competitive runner in track. From his young life in high school, David continued to compete in track events, even running in the National Senior Games for the 100, 200 and 400 meter dashes. He was the winner of many ribbons within the state.

David was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers.

David is survived by his sister, Adeline Sulzle and husband Reginald Sulzle of Dacono, CO; his sister-in-law, Pat Cady, Martha Jones (Ralphie) the love of his life; his nieces, Diane Cady Frank, Aleta Meeks, Charlotte Reinecke, Luanne Roy, Karen Sulzle and a nephew, Dewayne Cady, as well as other relatives.

He will be loved always and never forgotten.
