D. Shane Butler, 37, left this world unexpectedly on December 19, 2011. Shane was a loving husband, devoted father, beloved son, brother to many and friend to all. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8pm. Funeral Services will be Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Home with Dr. Rex Bland and John Wilson officiating.
Shane was born on December 2, 1974 in Decatur, Georgia. He was married to Sara Wiley on December 6, 1997 in Waco, Tx. Shane was a member of Athen's Praise and Worship Church, he loved the outdoors and sharing his love of nature and wildlife with his family. He and his wife, Sara, along with their children, had begun their dream of building the Rafter Double S Acre Ranch, an endeavor Sara plans to continue. Shane was faithful, loyal, honest to a fault and literally literal. He will be missed.
Shane is survived by his best friend and wife, Sara Jane Butler, daughter Madison, son Garrison, Father David Butler, Mother Melissa Butler, Maternal Grandmother Mildred Griner, Parents In-Law Charles and Janie Wiley, Sister and Brother in laws, Gilbert and Laura Hernandez and Scott and Karen Richardson. Nieces and Nephews Abigayle and Elizabeth Hernandez, Kordell and Karley Richardson, Jacob and Wyatt Butler and Preston Nunz, and many other extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Gilbert Hernandez, Scott Richardson, Jack Wiley, Frank Cervera, Michael Jupe, Tim Woodruff, and Darren Porter. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Davis and Tom Davis.
In lieu of flowers, friends and family have established a benevolence fund in honor of Shane Butler for the benefit of his minor children, Madison age 12, and Garrison age 9. Donations can be made to the Shane Butler Children's Fund at Texas First State Bank, PO BOX 2524 Waco, Texas 76702.
