Dave Henson

Dave Henson passed away late Thursday night August 22, 2019, at the age of 70.  A memorial visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Monday August 26, 2019, in the parlor of Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220  Woodway Dr.

Dave was born February 9, 1949, in Gatesville, Texas, the son of the late Charles Leon and Virginia (Richardson) Henson, where he was a 1967 graduate of Gatesville High School.  From October 28, 1968 until honorable discharge on October 28, 1971, he faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force and was discharged as an E-4.    After his discharge, he was employed by the United States Postal Service in Moody as a rural mail carrier.

In his spare time, he enjoyed Texas Rangers Baseball, even though they broke his heart at times, and the Dallas Cowboys.  He enjoyed going on cruises and paying the casinos.  On June 12, 2004, he married the former Marsha Lindsey in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Spending time with his grandchildren brought him great pleasure.

Also preceding him in death was a brother, Kelvin Henson.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha Henson; two sons, Scott Henson, Lane Henson; a daughter, Karen Mayton and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Max, Austin, Trevor, Sadie, Christian, Mylea and Hayleigh.
