Daryl Lynn Lusk

April 16, 1952 — December 11, 2024

Valley Mills, Texas

Daryl Lynn Lusk, 72, of Valley Mills, Texas, passed away December 11, 2024. A Celebration of his life will take place from 4 PM to 6 PM on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. During this gathering, at 5 PM, Brother Pat Cummings will deliver a heartfelt eulogy in honor of Daryl.

Daryl was born on April 16, 1952, in Waco, Texas, to his loving parents, Mary Ellen and O.B. Lusk. After graduating from La Vega High School in 1970, Daryl went on to pursue his dreams at Baylor University, where he earned a degree that would pave the way for his future endeavors. He began his career as the city secretary for Clifton, Texas, but his spirit of entrepreneurship led him to establish numerous successful businesses, including Lusk Used Cars, Lusk Body Shop, Hog Creek Cycle Shop, and Texas Golf Karts.

A true aficionado of speed, Daryl had a passion for racing flat-bottom boats and cars. He embodied the thrill of the chase and shared that spirit with everyone around him. Daryl's zest for life was magnified in his travels with the love of his life, Vicki Holman, his devoted wife of more than forty years. Together, they created adventures and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew them.

Daryl was not just an entrepreneur; he was a friend to all, a community leader, and a well-respected businessman. His kindness and generosity touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by everyone fortunate enough to have crossed his path.

Daryl is preceded in death by his beloved parents. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, cherished by his wife, Vicki; his son, Blake Lusk, and daughter-in-law, Jessica; and his adoring grandchildren, Hudson and Harper; and a multitude of close friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Daryl's honor, continuing his legacy of compassion and support for those in need. Let us come together to celebrate the vibrant life of a remarkable man who lived fully and freely, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
