Darwin began his life on August 25, 1934, the youngest of three boys on a farm in Frederick, Ok. After high school, Darwin met Gwyn Duncan, the love of his life. They married in August 1955. After attending college in OK, Darwin proudly served his country in the United States Army, followed by a successful career in sales. Always the entrepreneur, he started and sold several thriving businesses along the way.
Darwin was very strong in his faith and had been a member of First Baptist Church Woodway since moving to Waco in 1988. Being a people person from the word go, Darwin loved his friends, coffee buddies, playing golf, and spending time with his family. He was an optimist and inspiration to others, with a quick wit and lively sense of humor. Darwin touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Darwin was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Those left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife of 54 years, Gwyn Dunham; daughters, Dianne Blazo and husband Steve of Richardson and Sabrina Maciel and husband Rene’ of Castroville, TX; granddaughters, Aimee Losasso and husband Michael, Lesley Welch, Brianna Maciel and Carmen Maciel.
