Darrell Pursley

Darrell Pursley age 78, of Hewitt passed away Sunday December 4, 2011 at his home with his family by his side. Funeral Services will be 1:30PM Tuesday December 6, 2011 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Cary Killough officiating. Interment will follow at Robinson Cemetery.

Darrell was born on May 14, 1933 in Penelope, Texas to Hugh and Cleo Pursley. He graduated from Penelope High School in 1951. He then enlisted in the US Air Force serving during the Korean War. He returned to Waco in 1955. He married Lynda Bailey Rychlik on November 22, 1967. He worked at General Tire for 31 years and the Waco ISD for ten years before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Lynda.

Darrell is survived by two daughters Pam Rychlik Lemke and husband Ken of Victoria, Texas and Cindy Geer and husband Mike of Hewitt, Texas; a son Ronnie Rychlik of Waco; seven grandchildren Melissa Frazier, Amanda Langley, Stephanie Byrum, Courtney Geer, Cody Geer, Jason Lemke and Lynn Jackson; several great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Texas Home Health Care and Visiting Angels for their special and loving care, especially Nikie Hall.
