Biography

Darlene Evans passed away Monday August 2, 2010 at a local nursing facility. Visitation will be Wednesday August 4, 2010 from 6 to 8PM at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Darlene was born July 16, 1939 in Riesel, to Walter and Frieda Dieterich. She graduated Valedictorian from Riesel High School in 1957. She lived in various places throughout the United States living in New York State, Michigan, North Dakota, Ohio and Washington State before moving back to Texas in June of 2008. While living in Washington she was an active member of Lakewood Church of Christ in Lakewood, Washington.

She was preceded in death by three brothers Louis, Charles and Wesley Dieterich and two brothers-in-law Larry Lessmann and Willie Hooper and a nephew Larry Dieterich.

She is survived by two sons Bradley Evans of Florida and Byron Evans of Washington State; two sisters Delores Martin of Waco and Deanna Hooper of Houston; two brothers Erwin Dieterich and his wife Peggy of Axtell and Gene Dieterich and his wife Sallie of Rowlett; two sisters-in-law Ruby Dieterich and Arlene Dieterich both of Robinson; two grandsons and one granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
