Darlene Coates

Darlene Coates age 65, of Lorena passed away Saturday January 28, 2012 at a local hospital from a sudden unexpected illness. Funeral Services will be 10AM Wednesday February 1, 2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Curtis Holland officiating. Private family interment will follow at Waco Memorial Park.

Darlene was born November 22, 1946 in Waco, Texas. She graduated from University High School in 1965. She married Clint Coates on July 6, 1967. Darlene did clerical work most of her life, and retired after 15 years as a purchasing agent at the VA Hospital in Waco. She loved to travel, do yard work and crossword puzzles. Her husband, children and grandchildren were the love of her life.

Darlene is survived by her husband Clint of 45 years; two daughters Gina Coates, Tammy Moore and her husband Carson; two grandchildren Madalynne and Maddox Moore.
