Dana Lyn Abbe went home to Jesus on June 12, 2020 at the age of 50. Dana was born to Dewey C. Abbe and Darlene Abbe in Waco, Texas on August 14, 1969.
She is survived by her brothers, Steve Abbe and his wife Cyndi of Bruceville, Rick Abbe and his wife Suzanne of Robinson, and her sister, Darla Cross and her husband Bryan of Robinson. The rest of her surviving family consisted of 9 nieces and nephews, 11 great nieces and nephews, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was a proud part of the Robinson ISD family graduating in 1987. She started her love for the Robinson Rockets as the cutest little cheerleader mascot on the sidelines. She spent many Friday nights watching her brothers play football and baseball. She
was a proud supporter of her siblings who were in the “Pride of the Blue Band” as well as taking her cheering to the sidelines at many track events.
She had an eye for creativity, spending many hours in the family flower shop on Baylor campus. She could take any party, wedding, cake, balloons, or flower arrangement and give it an extra flare. And she never missed a chance to support the Baylor Bears and
loved wearing all the green and gold gear.
She was especially fond of all her nieces and nephews. Eventually there would be many great nieces and nephews added to her treasure of family and they all affectionately called her “Dada.” She loved to dote on all of them in different ways. But with the girls, she loved spending many hours curling their hair and putting the biggest bow she could find amongst all the curls to give it the final look. She proudly shared pictures of them with her friends on Facebook and you could say the walls in her home were
wallpapered full of family photos.
Her family was her pride and joy. Although her life became difficult in the end due to many medical issues, Dana always held to an unwavering faith in God. She was never shy to share with anyone her love and trust in Jesus. It is this hope in Jesus that her family rejoices in. Her family takes great comfort in knowing that Dana has arrived at her eternal home, healed, and sharing the joy of joining other precious family members who have gone before her.
Her family is grateful for all those who loved and cared for Dana throughout her life. It was a blessing to see your generosity and friendship. Your continued prayers for our family are appreciated. In lieu of flowers, you are invited to make a donation in her honor to Crossroads Fellowship Church Legacy Offering, 405 Estates Drive, Woodway, Texas 76712 or xroadsonline.org/giving
