Constance Louise Guthrie passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at her home. A graveside service to honor Connies life will be Friday, December 20, 2024 beginning at 10am at Waco Memorial Park in Waco, Texas.

Constance was born March 21, 1945, in Waco, Texas to Conroe Henry and Hazel Erlene (Dennis) Brown. She was the middle sibling to older sister, Martha and younger brother Kieth.

Connie grew up in south Waco and graduated from University High School. Growing up she learned the ways of her family business, Brown Plumbing, upon marriage and having children she worked as a telephone operator and later went to work for Region 12 Administration until retirement.

Connie and her late husband J.T. enjoyed local camping and traveling the country RVing together, fishing, site-sightseeing and enjoying the beauty of nature. She was also an avid and quite talented slalom waterskier in her younger years. Connie was very family oriented and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Connie was a former member of Patton Baptist Church in Valley Mills and loved her Lord and Savior. She loved Yorkies and was a lifetime owner, often choosing the runt of the litter to make sure that they went to a loving and caring home.

Connie is preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Guthrie, sister, Martha Brown, son, Todd Guthrie and daughter Kathleen Denise Guthrie.

Left to cherish Connies memory are her grandchildren Michael Todd (Haley) Guthrie, Justin Tate Guthrie and Jared Dale Guthrie, great grandchildren, Marylou and Grayson Guthrie, Brother Kieth (Lisa) Guthrie and 2 nephews and 1 niece, Chris Brown, Adam Brown and Melissa Brown. As well as loved fury companions Brownie and Gracie.
