Christine (Mitchell) Londenberg

Christine Mitchell Londenberg, 101, of Waco went to be with her Lord and Savior, with her family at her side, Saturday, January 28, 2023.  The funeral service will be 10 am, Friday, February 3, 2023 at Peace Lutheran Church in Hewitt. Committal will follow at Waco Memorial Park.  A Visitation with the family will be 5-7 pm, Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Christine was born December 19, 1921 in Hillsboro, Texas to Peter and Hilda Mitchell, one of three children.  She was a graduate of Waco High School.  On September 28, 1940, she married Herman A. Londenberg, at the First Lutheran Church in Waco. The couple enjoyed 56 years of marriage and had three children: raising their family in the Waco area.

She retired from Puremco after 54 years of service, at the age of 92.  While employed there she inspected and painted dots on the dominoes.  She enjoyed playing games and making jewelry. “Granny” was very fun loving and was always laughing.  Her quick wit made her a joy to be around. The family loved to come together for her meals.  She claimed that her laughter is the secret to her long life.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herman; children, Herman R. Londenberg, Beverly Jean Rebando; and her siblings.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Linda Lovegrove; grandchildren, Rick Rebando and wife Bobbie, Missy Augostini and husband Kevin, Mindy Patton and husband Brent, Robin Clayton and husband Steve, Joey Rebando and fiancé Ashtin; twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family extends a sincere thank you to the Baylor Scott and White Hospice and the entire staff of Royal Manor for their faithful and loving care.
