Christine Marie Gotay

Christine Marie Gotay, aged 42 days, passed away at Advent Health Children’s Hospital in Orlando, Florida, on January 11, 2024. After struggling with several health issues including Tetralogy of Fallot, she passed into the arms of Jesus.

Christine is the daughter of José and Sarah Gotay of Winter Garden, Florida. Each day she was a blessing to many during her short life.

She is survived by her parents, José and Sarah, her grandparents, Fernando Salabarria and Carmen Sanchez of Auburndale, Florida, and Harrison and Beverly Roper of Hewitt, Texas, her aunts, Janean and Skylar Salabarria of Auburndale, Florida, Hannah Roper of Winter Garden, Florida, and Rebekah Roper of Hewitt, Texas along with her great-grandparents James and Donna Welty of Burleson, Texas, Truman and Wrenda Parker of Windsor Colorado, great uncle and aunt, Ronald Dwain and Kim Morris of Alvarado, Texas, and Troy and Jennifer Osborne of Millican, Colorado. She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Juan B. Sanchez, Carmen H. Rosario, Leonard Roper, and Ronnie Morris.

She will be buried in Grandview, Texas, but lives eternally with God.

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!
