Charles Koehne

June 21, 1956 — August 6, 2009

Charles F. Koehne III, 53, longtime Waco resident, passed away Thursday morning, August 6, 2009, at home surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel from 5 -7pm Friday August 7th and the funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1PM, August 8, 2009 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Craig Klempnauer officiating.

Charlie was born June 21st, 1956 to the late Judge Charles F. Koehne Jr. and Julia Little Koehne. He married the love of his life Stephanie Millsaps in December of ’83 and together they had two wonderful, beautiful, loving children whom he loved and cherished with all his heart. Charlie loved life and lived it to the fullest. He had many friends and family who will miss him dearly.

Charlie was an avid fisherman, loved playing golf, and daily mastered the New York Times crosswords. He was a 32nd degree Master Mason and a graduate of St. Edwards University in Austin, and recently retired from Southwestern Bell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Brad Koehne.
He is survived by his wife Stephanie, son Charles “Chas” F. Koehne IV, daughter Kristina Henderson, her husband Adam, and granddaughter Kennedy Henderson, all of Waco. Brother Stan Koehne and his wife Gina; nephews, Jason Koehne and wife Melissa, Brandon and Stanton Koehne, all of San Antonio; Uncle Clyde C. Koehne of Waco, TX; Brother-in-law Butch Millsaps, sister-in-law Pam Geffre and their families, all of Watauga, TX; cousin Juanita Marie Stephens of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and her family, along with best friend Dave Cash and many other family and friends.
