Chabelo P. Jimenez

Chabelo P. Jimenez, 85, of Waco passed away peacefully at Providence Hospital on April 15, 2025, surrounded by his children and family. Graveside service will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco, officiant will be Rumaldo Jimenez. A visitation with the family will be 6-8 pm, Monday, April 21, 2025, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home in Woodway.

Chabelo was born on September 12, 1939, in Delia, Texas to Matilda Perez and Joaquin T. Jimenez.

Chabelo was a proud partner of C & J Jimenez Construction, where he worked alongside his brother JJ, establishing a reputation for excellence in cement contracting. His dedication to his craft was matched only by his unwavering spirit and enthusiasm for life. As a devout fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Baylor Bears, Chabelo filled every football season with spirited cheers and vibrant energy, rallying friends and family around the excitement of the game enjoying a cold Miller Lite at the neighborhood establishments.

Chabelo cherished his family and friends. The love shown to him by all his nephews and nieces brought immeasurable joy and pride in his life. They were always there to lend a helping hand when needed. His legendary kindness and altruism knew no bounds; he was always ready to lend a helping hand or offer support, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of many who knew him. His legacy is one of love, community, and unwavering support.

He is preceded in death by his Father, Joaquin T. Jimenez and stepmother, Consuelo Torres his mother, Matilda P. Padilla and step- father, Marcelino Padilla; sons, Samuel J. Pineda and Stacey Guerrero; brothers, Rumaldo Jimenez, Joaquin (JJ) Jimenez, Sister, Carolina Beccera; Grandchildren, JoAngel Guerrero, and great grandson, Mark Lopez.

Left to continue his legacy are his sisters, Helen Hernandez, Ruth Arias and husband Ray, sister-in-law, Mary Anne Jimenez. His children, Elizabeth J. Velazquez, Chavelo Jimenez, Jr. and wife Janet, Melissa J. Coffee and husband Paul, Joaquin Jimenez, Matilda J. Guajardo and husband Jesse, Carolyn J. Gonzalez and husband Jesse, Mary Uptmore and husband Dustin, Romaldo Jimenez and wife Nikki, Augustine Jimenez; step-children, Frank and wife, Liz, Charlie and wife, Kim, Joeangel and wife, Karol, Eddie and wife Maria, and step daughter Betty Guerrero; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; great- great grandchildren; nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

The Pall Bearers will be Paul Coffee Jr, Andrew Davilla, Chavelo Paul Jimenez, Jon Vincent Jimenez, Justin Jimenez, and Gavin Jimenez. Honorary Pall Bearers are Augustine Jimenez, Jr., Caleb Saucedo, Jaime Velasquez, Jr.
