Cathryn Evans

March 16, 1936 — July 24, 2009

Cathryn Marie Morain Evans, 73, a long time resident of Alexandria, Louisiana, was called home to be with her Lord on Friday, July 24, 2009. Mrs. Evans passed away at her residence in Hewitt, TX; surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Burial will take place at Pineville Cemetery in Pineville Louisiana.



Cathryn was born March 16, 1936 in Steuart, Iowa to John Paul and Creta Adalaide Morain. She was a homemaker after being employed for more than 15 years as an assistant manager for Gulf States Theaters in Alexandria. She enjoyed spending time with her family and reading novels. Cathryn was married on September 4, 1954 to Hubert B. Evans in Minneapolis, Minnesota.



Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her parents John Paul and Creta Adalaide Morain; her husband of 37 years Hubert Evans; and three brothers, Loren, Ron and Jack Morain. She is survived by her daughter, Creta Ferrin and husband Bill of Hewitt, Texas; daughter, Eva Evans, Victoria Pridemore, Catherine Evans, Ginnia Harper, Kevin Ferrin, Trey Pridemore, Michael Evans and Jason Higgins; great-grand-children, Blake Higgins, Bailee Higgins, Emma Harper, Jamin Harper and Jenna Harper.
