Carolyn Cherry Wells, born August 3rd, of Marlin, TX went home peacefully surrounded by her family on July 31, 2012 at the age of 73. A celebration of her freedom will be held at Golden Years nursing center in Marlin, at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, August 12th. There will be a private burial at a later date.
Carolyn had a wonderful sense of humor, always smiling, ready for the next prank or joke. She was kind and very loving, giving all she had to those she loved. Her strength, her stamina, and faith will live with each of us, for she was our hero.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother, Jimmie Tacker; daughter, Sharon Murry; and sister Tommie Hawthorne.
She is survived by daughter, Libby Price, and husband Steve of Marlin; sisters Tyra Lewis and Mel Juarez, of Waco; beloved niece, Lori Soto and husband C.J. and Ryan, Austin, and Jake, of New Braunfels; granddaughter Georgie Price; grandsons Chip Pierce, Justin Murry, and Jared Murry; four great-granddaughters Karalynn, Hannah, Tori, and Kaylee; half brother Stevie; half sisters Linda, Georgia, and Jewel; special friend and partner in crime Tina Grubb of Kingsville, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to specially thank Golden Years Nursing Facility of Marlin, Providence Hospital, and Providence Hospice.
