Biography

Carolyn May Wells went home to be with her Lord and Savior on her birthday, September 12, 2012 at the age of 58 at Ridgecrest Center in Waco. Carolyn was born on September 12, 1954 to Zan and Audie Sims May of Joaquin, TX. In September 1972, she married the love of her life, Marvin Prentice “Buddy” Wells, Jr. Their first born, Michael Jeremy Wells, was born in January 1977. They were very proud of their boys and were often at scout meetings, soccer games and other school activities supporting and cheering them on. Carolyn loved and supported her sons very much until her last breath. She was an avid Texas A&M fan, Marty’s alma mater, and a Dallas Cowboys fan. She was a successful realtor and retired from Pitney and Bowes later in life due to her illness of Multiple Sclerosis.

Graveside services will be Monday, September 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at O.E. Memorial Park in Logansport, LA.

Carolyn is survived by her sons, Marty Wells of Houston and Jeremy Wells of Odessa; three granddaughters: Aubrey, Ashton, and Samantha Wells; Brothers: Don May and wife Mary of Joaquin, Sammy May and wife Martha of Center, Roy May of Gladewater; Sisters: Bobbie Pruitt and husband Ron of Magnolia, Reeta Ann Frieze and husband Bob of Elko, NV; Sister-in-laws, Kay May and Sheryl Hopson; Brother-in-law Calvin Seago of Shreveport, LA, and many special nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband Buddy Wells parents Zan and Audie Sims May, brothers: Asa, Ray, and Jimmy May, sisters: Billie Jean Lawhorn and Ruby Seago.

The family would like to thank Ridgecrest Retirement Center and Dr. Kreis for the care provided to “Aunt Carolyn” since 2008. Brandi, Jessica, Stacey, and Judy of Bluebonnet Hospice were a tremendous support to her during her last days. Special thanks to Lori and The Boy. Lori was not only her caregiver but her friend.
