Carolyn Wade

Anna Carolyn Smith Wade age 73, of Lorena passed away peacefully at her home. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Tuesday May 29, 2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Services will be 11AM Wednesday May 30, 2012 at Rosemound Cemetery.

Carolyn was born on October 2, 1938 in Waco, Texas to Hollis and Clarine Smith. Carolyn was a well known hairdresser in Waco for over 40 years. She enjoyed all of her patrons and became really great friends with most of them. She loved the outdoors and working in her yard and garden. Later in life she loved going dancing with her special friend Gary Schimschat.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 45 years Curtis Wade.

Carolyn is survived by her four children Scherry Johnson and fiance Mark Butt of Waco, Pam Steel and her husband Wesley of Crowley, Brian Johnson and his wife Tammy of Waco and Curtis Wade Jr. and his wife Dannette of Lorena; a sister Mary Fillip and her husband Charlie of Waco; a brother Hollis Smith of Crandfill Gap; six Grandchildren and one Great Grandchild.

Carolyn will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. In her own words, “I did it my way”.
