Chaplain (LTC) Carlton David Hall, United States Army Retired (Reserves) passed away Tuesday, December 19,2017. He was born April 15, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio to Algie and Katye Hall. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 Wednesday, December 27th at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Grant Kaul officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Central Texas- State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, December 26,2017 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.
Chaplain Hall served in the military for almost three decades ministering to the soldiers of the United States Army. He served in the National Guard, Reserves and Active Duty Army. He distinguished himself through stellar leadership, professionalism, and dedication to pastoral ministry with deep respect and sincere concern for soldiers and their families. He was the Deputy Chaplain of 4003D Garrison Support Unit from 2000-2004. In June 2004 to September 2004 he was assigned as Senior Chaplain of 4003D GSU. One of the highlights of his career was while he was an Army National Guard Chaplain. He deployed to Munich, Germany in 1996, where he served as Senior Chaplain for NATO, which was an Undisclosed operation. During this time, he ministered to U.S. soldiers and foreign troops. Chaplain Hall recently retired after 27 years of pastoral care and ministry to our Veterans. He was a chaplain with the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System at both the Temple and Waco Medical Centers. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother Algie Hall Jr. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 37 years, Joyce Hall, his son Carlton Hall Jr., daughter, Alycia Hall, grandson Malachi, brothers Bradley (Sandy) and Derrick Hall of Dayton, Sister, Eileen Hall Turner and several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
Pallbearers are Mark Jessup, Zach Jessup, Russell McClellan, Larry Dailey, Thomas Aguilar, Darryl Strain, Tom Rardin and Kenneth Bynum.
