Candice Holly Lynn, 47, of Moody (formerly Waco), earned her angel wings on the morning of January 10, 2024. She joined her paternal and maternal grandparents, Uncle Jerry Lynn, and Aunt Judy Stafford in heaven, as well as her beloved pets LittleBit and LoJack, and her Rainbow Bridge Babies.
Candice is loved and missed beyond words by her family: mother, Claudia Lynn; father, James Lynn and wife Tina; her twin sister, Brandice Heather Lynn Fonville and husband Jay; brother, J. Christian Lynn, and wife Sami; nephew, Riq Lynn; niece, Lila Lynn; uncle, Larry Stafford; and cousins, Jeff Stafford, Melanie Garcia, and families. Her fur babies desperately miss her: Phoebe, Roxie, Jake, Blue, Rocko, her cats, and Mr. T.
Candice taught elementary school in the Waco Independent School District and surrounding districts for 13 years after earning her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Education from The University of Mary Hardin Baylor. She later joined her mother and sister in a family pet sitting business. She always wanted to teach and had a great love for her students and pet clients.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 22nd, at 1 p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, Woodway, Texas. Reverend Melissa McDuffee of First United Methodist Church, Cleburne, will be officiating.
For those who have asked, in memory of Candice and her love of all of God’s creatures, donations may be made to the Waco Humane Society of Central Texas. We love you, Candy, and we will see you soon!! Love on all the babies at the Rainbow Bridge; we’ve got the “earthlings” covered.
