Brian Prentice Murray peacefully passed away Friday, November 1, 2013 in Hewitt, TX.
Brian was born and raised in Anniston, Alabama. He became an Eagle Scout in 1984 at the age of 13. He attended Auburn University before making a career move to Louisville, Kentucky in 1999. He was a successful manager and general manager in the distribution industry.
Brian was huge fan of the Auburn Tigers and the Louisville Cardinals, loved NASCAR, his family, his pets, and his friends. People who were close to Brian know that once a friend, he would remain a friend for life.
Brian is survived by his soul-mate of 15 years, Linda Reynolds of Hewitt, TX; his father Russell Murray of Dothan, AL, and his mother and step-father Marlies and Jerry Harwell of Delta, AL; his grandmother Julia Murray of Anniston, AL; his sister Tania McCullough of Weaver, AL; his two nieces, one nephew, and one great-nephew; his uncles and aunts Arthur & Kimberly Murray and Lewis & Lisa Murray of Atlanta, GA, and his cousins Clark & Joseph Murray of Atlanta.
Brian’s second family includes Linda’s family: David and Michaela DeLorez of Cypress, TX, Shaun and Julia DeLorez of 29 Palms, CA, and Linda’s two granddaughters. He was loved as a brother and a friend.
Brian will be missed by friends near and far and will always be remembered for his humor, his compassion, and his love for people and numerous pets he held dear.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brian’s name to the NASCAR Children’s Charities.
