Bonnie Huffman

July 28, 1945 — August 10, 2015


Bonnie Ruth Huffman went peacefully and gently into the arms of Jesus on August 10, 2015 while surrounded by loved ones singing to her. A Funeral Service will be on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will be Friday, August 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Bonnie was born on July 28, 1945 to Dan and Johnnie Huffman in Waco, Texas. She resided in Rosenthal, Texas all of her life. Bonnie loved music. She loved to dance and sing! She was always a few words behind, but never skipped a beat. Bonnie loved to hold babies, color, sew, and put circles in crossword puzzles. Bonnie also loved Birthday's, especially hers. Bonnie loved hats, and her eyes would light up when her dad, brothers or nephews entered the room with a cowboy hat on. Bonnie will always be remembered for her hugs and kisses, they are everlasting.

From birth Bonnie was cared for by her pediatrician, the late Dr. A. O. Manske, Sr. In her adults years she was given compassionate care by Dr. Ross Shipp. In later years, Bonnie was given excellent quality care by Providence Healthcare Physicians. The family would like to thank Dr. Rodney Richie, Dr. Matt Pattillo, Dr. Boris Murillo, and the Providence Critical Care RNs for providing excellent medical care to Bonnie during her last two weeks of life.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother, Johnnie Evelyn (Baize) Huffman; father, Dan Henry Huffman; her sister’s, Marquita Dees, Karma Sue Huffman, and Claudine Jeffery; her brother’s, Bobby Huffman, Dorman Huffman, and Tommy Huffman; nephew, Lance Huffman; niece, Karen Sue Huffman; and great-nephew, Monty Huffman.

Bonnie is survived by Sister’s, JoAnn Ball of Lorena and Nancy Lumpkin and husband Melvin of Woodway; Brother’s Dennis Huffman and wife Pat of West, and Larry Huffman of Marlin, and many nieces and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers are First Nephews: David Dees II, Bobby “Bebo” Huffman, Dennis “Booger” Huffman, Danny Huffman, Randy Huffman, Harlin King, Kevin Jeffrey, and Phillip Jeffrey.

Pallbearers are nephews and great nephews: Dakota Dees, David Dees III, Chance Huffman, Cobyn Huffman, Dustin Huffman, Steve King, Colten Sanders, Dude Sanders, Ray Sanders II, Callan Weaver, and Cooper Weaver.

The family extends a very special thank you to all the caregivers that provided Bonnie with exceptional care and extraordinary love.
