Bobbie Blasingame

Bobbie Joyce Blasingame, 82, of Mart, TX, peacefully went to be with her Lord Sunday, January 14, 2018, surrounded by family. Bobbie was born January 16, 1935 in Delia, Texas to Ernest and Gladys Harrison. She met the love her life, Roy Virgil Blasingame, in Coolidge, Texas. The happy couple married in Brownwood, Texas on November 18, 1950, and went on to celebrate 64 years of marriage. Roy and Bobbie raised three sons.

Bobbie spent her years dedicating her life to being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a strong, Christian woman, the glue that held the family together through thick and thin. She will forever be remembered as the rock and ever strong foundation of the family. Bobbie enjoyed cooking and baking for friends and family, holidays, dancing, listening to music, cracking jokes and cheering on her kids, grandkids and great grandkids in their sports/activities.

Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Gladys Harrison, her husband Roy Virgil Blasingame and her son Ronnie Glen Blasingame. She is survived by her sister, Imogene Becker of Mart, daughter-in-law, Donna Blasingame of Mart, son Rodney Clark Blasingame and fiancée Shawna Tilley of Austin, son Roy Dean Blasingame and wife Denise, of Mart, grandson Lane Blasingame and wife Angela of Texarkana, grandson Brandon Blasingame and wife Lori of Riesel, granddaughter Ashley Kelly and husband Jake of Mart, granddaughter Melany Slagle and husband Chad of Riesel, and grandson Adrian Blasingame and wife Miriam of Hewitt, 14 great grandchildren, and 5 great, great grandchildren.

At Bobbie’s request, there will be no public service. A small, private, family only celebration of life will be held.
