The Lord called Billy Joe Partridge, 79, home on June 24, 2021 in Waco Texas. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date for the immediate family. Billy was born in Bonham on September 11, 1941.
Growing up Billy began playing sports at an early age. He was an outstanding athlete in high school winning many awards. After high school he attended Trinity University in San Antonio Texas on a football scholarship. He married his high school sweetheart, Saleta Brown, and they had been married almost 60 years. After college he worked for General Cable for 9 years.
His 25 year career with TXU took him and his family to Cleburne, Lancaster, Duncanville, Plano and Waco. After retirement he and Saleta moved north of Honey Grove to enjoy country living. After 21 years they returned to Waco. A lifelong member of the Church of Christ, he was a fine Christian example to his family and friends.
Billy is survived by wife Saleta, daughters Leisha Fife and husband Gary, Dyan Harrell and husband Bruce. Grandsons Taylor Tilley, Cody Tilley and wife Melissa, and Colton Tilley, Hunter Harrell and wife, McCall. Granddaughter Marissa Harrell. Great grandchildren Ezra Tilley, Espi, Tatum and Godric Marlow.
Also surviving is his brother Lyndell Partridge and wife Norma and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Ella Mae and Lester Partridge, and brothers Gene Partridge and Ronnie Partridge.
