Billy Loggins

December 23, 1953 — March 5, 2014

Tragically, Billy Mac Loggins, was called home to God at the age of 60 after an accident at his home on Wednesday March 5th. He was born in Odessa, Texas to mother Beatrice (Kack) Loggins and father Charlie Mack Loggins. He graduated Gustine High School and went on to Tarleton State University, where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Science.
After working in health care for a few years, he began his life long career with M&M Mars/Masterfoods in Quality Assurance, until he retired in 2010. While married to his first wife Judy Goode, they gave birth to the apple of his eye, his daughter Elizabeth “Liz” (Loggins) Chism.
Billy loved the Lord and shared his time and talents with Bellmead Calvary Baptist Church, which continued to be his extended family. Throughout his life he led youth, Master Clubs, served the sick, and shared the loving word of the Lord with all he came in contact with. God blessed him with a talent for singing, and a great love of music which he used to serve the Lord.
God blessed him with a loving second wife, Tracy Loggins, after his divorce that brought him a deep loving partnership. They married after meeting while working at another Mars site in Las Vegas. Billy, Tracy, Liz, and step son Taelor remained with their church family until Liz married and Taelor left for college.
All will miss him dearly, and will remember his loving hugs, twinkling eyes and God’s blessed voice. He is survived by his mother Beatrice Loggins, wife Tracy Loggins, children Elizabeth Chism and Taelor Little, niece Tracy Markham and child Cody Markham, and nephew John Shaffer with son Tyler Shaffer. Elizabeth is supported by her loving husband Jason Chism, mother Judy Goode, and mother in law Pat Chism. Billy was preceded in death by his sister Judy Wood and father Charlie Mack, and has now rejoined them in God’s blessed presence.
Visitation is Sunday March 9, from 3-5pm at Grace Gardens Chapel. Located at 8220 Woodway Dive, along Highway 84. Memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, March 10th at Greater Waco Baptist Church, previously named Bellmead Calvary Baptist, located 912 East Loop 340, 76705.
Flowers can be sent to either location and the family welcomes all who can attend.
