Betty Smith age 87, of Waco passed away Sunday April 17, 2011 at a local nursing facility. Graveside Services will be 2PM Wednesday April 20, 2011 at White Hall Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Tuesday April 19 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.
Betty was born June 17, 1923 in Crosby County, Texas to Amos and Flossie Ellison. She was a secretary for the Waco Health Department and later Connally Compton Funeral Home. Betty was a longtime member of Crestview Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband B.J. Smith in 2008 and a son Clint Smith in 1998.
She is survived by her son Russell Smith and his wife Terrie; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Lake Shore Estates, Phoenix Care, Providence Hospice, family and friends for their love and support.
