Betty Huddleston

Betty Jean Huddleston, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away at her home Friday, June 20, 2014. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 24th at Church of Christ Valley Mills, 407 3rd St, Valley Mills. A private interment will follow.

Betty was born April, 29, 1938 to Hubert and Minnie Polk in Bowie, TX. She married her high school sweetheart, Benny Huddleston April 4, 1958. To this union a son, Michael, was born. During Benny’s employment Betty traveled extensively. She will be dearly missed by those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Minnie Polk; sister, Lanelle Gibson; and brothers, Billy and Weldon Polk.

Betty is survived by her husband of 56 years, Benny R Huddleston; son, Michael R Huddleston; grandson, Tayler M Huddleston, all of Waco; brothers, Raymond and Kenneth Polk, of Bowie, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a special canine companion, Gracie.
