Betty Halvorson

Betty Jean Halvorson age 77, of Waco passed away Tuesday July 24, 2012 at a local hospital. Memorial Services will be 1PM Saturday July 28,2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.

Betty was born on November 22, 1934 in Malvern, Arkansas to Claude and Laura Hendershot. She graduated from Dupont High School in Louisville, Kentucky and later from Louisiana Tech University with a degree in Business Administration. She married Henry on August 4, 1955 in San Carlos, California. She loved all things nature. She owned her own jewelry business where she designed and crafted handmade originals. She was also an avid oil painter. She loved spending time spoiling her grandchildren. She was lover of History, Archeology and Geology.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson Javan Mark Halvorson

Betty is survived by husband Henry of 57 years; Two sons Mark and his wife Connie, Scott and his wife Charlotte; a daughter Michelle; a sister Dorothy Cusick; two grandchildren Lindsey and Brandon.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
